A No.1 Son in his No.1s!
Posted: May 2007

The son of our No.1 seamstress, Jane Darbyshire, Jonathan has passed out of the Royal Navy's Turpoint Naval Base, Plymouth destined for a career in the 'Silent Service', Britain's fleet of nuclear submarines.

Jonathan may even be fortunate enough to land a position on the new Astute Class of submarine. This 'stealth submarine' puts Britain at the top of the world's Submarine Premier League according to Capt Mike Davis-Marks, a submariner for 25 years and quoted in the newspapers yesterday. Apparently the boat's nuclear power plant has the acoustic signature of a small torch.

Good luck Jonathan!
