Pole to Pole Expedition
Posted: Dec 2006

The Polar First Expedition took delivery of their Bell 407 Coptercovers (full hull, engine intakes, rotor blades with tie-downs, rotor head and tail rotor covers at Bell Textron HQ in the States before setting off on the challenge to visit both Poles in the next 135 days. The team will be keeping a day-by-day log of their journey on the Polar First website.

Polar First wanted the lightest but strongest covers available for their Expedition. The requirements were that they be capable of surviving 100mph winds, sand and snow storms, 80deg of frost and desert temperatures of +40deg. Naturally Polar First chose Coptercovers from Air Covers Ltd.
